About
In 2006, artist John Yost purchased a farm with a large barn on the property in York County, PA. After living there for a year, John felt God ask him to paint a mural of Jesus Christ with outstretched arms showing an invitation to come to Him. He obeyed this calling and painted the mural of the Good Shepherd.
As one gentleman in Lancaster County, PA said, “Even if one person would come to Christ through the mural, it would be worth it.” John has seen lives changed by the mural of Jesus and has had opportunities to share his faith in Christ with others by discussing his mural.
After John painted the 30 feet high mural, the number of travelers on the rural country road that passes his property increases as people tell others about the inspiring image of the Good Shepherd painted on the side of his barn.
